Nike x Premium Goods Zoom Kobe I - Hyperstrike:Atom - 08/08/08

08.08.08 will be remembered as one of the most infamous days worldwide, especially with sneaker-heads, due to the massive amounts of releases that took place. One of the most limited release was marked by the Zoom Kobe I’s ‘Premium Goods Edition’, Premium Goods was one of the 6 shops that participated in the contest to create their own edition of the Zoom Kobe 1, from which, Kobe Bryant himself will pick the pair he likes the most. All 6 groups were given detailed information about Kobe himself and his list of emotions. Clarence and Jen of Premium Goods chose energy, and modeled the shoe around this emotion.

Energy can never be created nor destroyed, only earned. The gradient purple on the shoe takes the literalism of energy one step further that energy is infinite. On the side of the shoe what looks like 8’s turned on their side are yet another symbol of infinite power and agility Kobe posses. On the back of the shoe is the “Atomic Kobe” logo which yet again ties into the science of Kobe, briefing via NK

These shoes were made more than a years ago, then how come we haven’t seen too much of them till today? Welll, today [08.08.08] Clarence of Premium Goods wanted to honor Kobe’s old Jersey no, and released 8 pairs of this shoe at each one of their locations, in Brooklyn, NY & Houston, TX. In order for you to purchase the shoes, you were required to purchase any item from the store, which guaranteed your name on the raffle ticket. The raffle in NY took place at 2:00 P.M and below we have full coverage from Pics to Videos and detailed shots of the shoes below. Make sure you …continue reading below to see the videos on the next page.

[On another note, no these will not be releasing again, only 24 pairs were made and 16 were just sold today]

Make sure to visit the good people at Premium Goods at one of their two locations:
